The tears started as soon as Casey walked into Shadow Creek. They welled up in her eyes because this day was finally, finally here. She’d planned for months, upon months. And it was here. The day she’d get to marry Brian. Every new revelation brought fresh tears and waves of emotion. Vendors bustled around completing the vision that she’d worked on, the skies were bright blue, and the weather was perfect for November. It’s all she’d been hoping for. And after some deep breaths she quickly walked up to her groom, eager to see his face. He turned around beaming! His bright blue eyes shining once they locked with hers. They were both all excitement and wide smiles and laughter.
Their pastor spoke so highly of Brian and Casey’s relationship during the ceremony. Their intentionality, their enthusiasm, their persistence. Brian and Casey are passionate people. And you can see that in the way they treat the people around them and in the way they treat each other. Brian wrote to Casey how much of a joy it was to sacrifice for her, and you can see that joy when he pulls her into his arms. Casey’s fiery personality and tender heart are kept safe by Brian, because she can truly be exactly who she is when she’s with him. Brian’s dad started the reception off by talking about the first time he met Casey and thought to himself, “If Brian’s smart, then this girl’s the one.” And luckily, Brian’s smart :]
The day came together perfectly and beautifully. Every detail thought through, creating a magnificent night for their friends and family. David and I are so, so thankful that we’d have the privilege of being there to witness and document their love, and even more so, to gain these two as friends.
