It was a dreary January day. A forecast of heavy snow, ice, and rain had just cleared out. There was indeed going to be a wedding! As the afternoon went on, guests at the Winery at Bull Run were bustling around, participating in wine tastings, and slowly but surely, the venue was being transformed to hold a celebration. Soon enough, it was time for their first look. Under cloud cover and the cover of umbrellas, Liz walked forward towards Drew, ever so slowly, until he turned and saw her. Immediately, he broke out into the biggest smile. He exclaimed and gushed over her, held her close, and then they quickly shuffled inside to escape the rain that started to fall just before their first look. They do say rain on your wedding day is good luck. :]

Drew and Liz had been together for years and the anticipation of finally being married showed on both of their faces. Constant beaming smiles and sweet personal vows affirmed that sentiment during their ceremony. They promised to be each other’s best friend, support, comforter. They paused halfway through the vows to share a kiss out of force of habit. It was just the sweetest thing! There wasn’t a dry eye as Drew emotionally stumbled through his vows. And later, as they danced to “You are the Best Thing” and held each other close, their guests looked on with admiration and shared in the feeling that Drew and Liz are better together.

It was so wonderful to be a part of Drew and Liz’s intimate wedding day. We got to spend so much time with them and got to witness their sweet relationship on one of its most important days. Mr and Mrs McGrath, we are so, SO excited for you guys! Hope you enjoy reliving your wedding day :]
