“It all feels so real now!,” Jordie exclaimed as we arrived at the house she grew up in. She had gotten ready with her closest friends and family nearby and now they were having a dance party while they waited to be whisked away to her wedding venue. It was sweet to see Jordie beaming and walking around her home that held so many memories. When their ride arrived, she would leave for the last time as a single girl! Even though her heart has been stolen for a long time now. Five and a half years to the day, in fact. Because of that, there was nothing but excitement as the girls enjoyed the morning. But as soon as Jordie put her dress on the tears started to flow. Right in front of their eyes, Jordie had gone from the teenager who fell in love with Andrew to the woman who was about to be a wife.
Their ceremony was absolutely beautiful. Andrew’s dad officiated and made sure to mention the small beginnings of their love story, all the way back to one of their first official dates…which Andrew’s parents happened to attend. :] He also brought up the fact that Andrew and Jordie have a total of six healthy marriages, totaling decades and decades of commitment. I can’t imagine how sweet it was for their parents and grandparents to see them make the same commitment they’d made so many years ago! After they were pronounced husband and wife, Jordie threw her bouquet in the air and they celebrated all the way down the aisle. Just so, so over the moon to be married…finally. To be able to come home to each other…finally!
The rest of the night was a huge party! Everyone was laughing and having fun and eventually, dancing their faces off :] It was the most lovely and perfect evening! And even more so, a wonderful day one for the new Mr and Mrs Lane. We loved being a part of it! Hope you enjoy their Blacksburg Country Club wedding!
