When I told JP it was time to see Lily, he broke into the biggest smile and did a little shoulder shake with excitement. That’s the kind of anticipation he had when he waited for their first look! And his smile only stretched wider when he turned around to see her. Lily was beaming, absolutely beautiful in her Bhldn dress and he couldn’t get enough of his sweet bride. After the initial look, they fell into easy conversation because they’re just the best of friends. They caught up on how the morning had gone before taking on the rest of their wedding day together. They sailed through their ceremony that they’d thoughtfully composed and were so thrilled to be married after all this time! Their joy was made even more complete by their family and close friends rushing into congratulate them. That’s when I saw a few teary eyes because that’s how much they cherish their people. JP admitted that he was doing great until he saw Lily’s dad start to choke up, which got him too! They’ve been each other’s family for a long time now, and August 19th just made it official.
The whole day was just like JP and Lily: thoughtful, light, caring. Their people had come from ALL over to celebrate and they wanted to celebrate with them all! They know their friends are truly the best out there and they’ve surrounded themselves with kind and thoughtful people just like them :] The party really got started when JP and Lily transitioned to a surprise salsa during their first dance that had the whole room cheering. They were so looking forward to the surprise because they just so delighted in their friends’ and family’s joy. The toasts had everyone smiling or laughing (when it came to JP’s brother!) and then the band took the stage and the party totally transformed. Guests were on and off the stage singing with the band or having the absolute best time dancing in the crowd. JP and Lily were so lit up by the energy in the room and kept being pulled back on stage to dance or sing to one more song. Their best day ever was full of joy and laughter and dancing just like they’d been planning for a full year!
We loved being a part of JP and Lily’s wedding. Between the fact that they got married at our wedding venue, the gorgeous Sinkland Farms, and from the way we clicked together and were laughing from our meeting a year ago, we’d been looking forward to this day. And it did not disappoint! JP and Lily, we love you guys and are so thankful to have been in this intimate season of your lives. Hope your honeymoon is your favorite adventure yet!
