EEEK! We’ve got NEWS to share! We officially know if we’ve got a little boy or a little girl being added to our family! Aka a brother or sister for our Ollie bear. I know you’re scrolling right past this though! Enjoy our confetti gender reveal :] We’re thrilled to get to share with you!
We started with some “before we found out” shots. We got our ultrasound earlier that afternoon and it’d been like torture waiting for 6PM to come around! We (especially David) got real close to sneaking a peek in the envelope this time around!
Love this one!
Sweet bear!
Kelsey got to find out first and she warned us that she’d make this face no matter what!
Confetti team!
Look how nervous David is!
When we first saw!
EEK!
My reaction was BONKERS! I was SO shocked!
Love this! Ollie had no idea what was going on, but he was excited anyways!
Hyperventilating.
All the hugs and still freaking out!
We’re so cheesy :]
David letting out a sigh! He was so nervous before we found out!
Bear wanted a sister all along!
My sister, brother in law, and dad came out to help us! It was fun to have them there :]
Kels loves the bump. Every time.
Now for some AFTER we found out pictures.
The sweetest little boy. He’s going to be such an awesome big brother!
Love that you can see both babies in the one on the left!
Ugh, he’s just my favorite!
Can’t believe I’m getting a little girl so I can pass on the hair bow obsession!
Love my guy! Can’t wait to see him with a little girl!
SQUISH.
My fav! What a cutie! He so wanted a sister!
Whew! Well, now you guys know! We’re having a baby GIRL and we couldn’t be more excited! We really would’ve been thrilled either way! A healthy baby is such a miracle, no matter the gender and we’re crazy thankful. But we were hoping for a girl! We’ve just always loved the idea of Ollie being a big brother to a little girl, so it’s all we’ve been picturing! And of course, we always thought it’d be fun to have one of each.
But as you can tell, I was still totally shocked! I really had no leanings either way about what I really thought this baby was. The only time I have had a feeling one way or the other was when I thought about how this pregnancy was a little rougher than the last. I’ve been totally exhausted since May, and my stomach’s been more sensitive this time around. Nothing compared to what most people experience during pregnancy, but there was definitely a noticeable difference! But yes, when that confetti went off, I was beside myself! So, so shocked. Could not believe it was real because we’re just that excited! Annnnd Ollie’s been saying he wanted a sister from day one so maybe he knew all along :]
We went out for dinner afterwards to celebrate and then stopped by Old Navy to pick up a few baby girl clothes! I’ve been stopping though the baby girl section literally since we were pregnant with Ollie, just obsessing over the cute dresses and ruffle leggings and hair bows and I cannot wait to dress up this little sweetheart. (I’m also thankful we’ve got lots of gender neutral stuff from last time around! seriously, strangers thought Ollie was a girl all. the. time.)
For those of you who have been around the blog for a few years, this reveal might look a little familiar! We did the exact same thing as we did with Ollie! At the exact same place! What a wonderful bit of deja vu. It was a blast!
Thank you thank you thank you for the way you’ve all shared our excitement and joy! It’s been so fun to see all the comments on instagram, and David had a blast trying to trick everyone with his black and white video 😉 And special thanks to my friend Lindsey Rickards for coming out and shooting annnnd letting me take all of the files immediately so I could edit them! You did such a great job!
Here’s the full video just in case you wanted to see it! Sorry about all the high pitched screaming :]
