So this is awkward…I’m going to be blogging images of myself today. Who does that? Let me explain…
About a month ago, same time frame as my dad’s fabulous high school reunion, David and I got the opportunity to rent some gear from borrowlenses.com. The way the rental works is that you have three days to use the equipment and then mail it back in. So, Monday morning came, our final day with the equipment and all we had done was shoot the high school reunion and some pictures of my dogs! (coming soon btw, love them). We decided (and by we I mean I) we needed to get more use/practice out of the camera/lenses so we attempted to schedule a last minute photoshoot. No luck. Somehow, Monday mornings are not conducive to college students schedules.
So, we decided (I decided) it’d be fun to be able to get in my wedding dress again and let David do some practice portraits on me before it got too cold. And of course, it was the coldest and rainiest day of Fall yet.
Things I learned: I am not a patient model, being the subject is way harder than it looks, leggings under your wedding dress simply do not cut it in 30 degree weather, cardigans are cute ALWAYS, flats are not practical winter shoes, and I am so so glad I was not a winter/fall bride. Props to those out there who are going sans sleeves for their wedding now that its getting colder out! I legitimately could not feel my toes by the end of it! Hope you enjoy :]
Ps: my friend Krysta said these pictures looked like I was in a fairytale…well minus the freezingmytoesoff weather i FELT like I was in a fairytale too.
We started the day at Wildwood Park in Radford.
my jobin (husband) is wonderful! i love these next two.

Moral of the story: We got in the warm car and got warm breakfast and put on warm clothes. My toes have finally regained color :]
