So, like I said, I wanted to show you all a little bit more of my life on campus the last semester! One of the sweet things we got to do leading up to Cru’s Fall Retreat was do a free concert on campus for our students featuring the Bridge Band, the band that would be leading us worship for the following weekend. The Bridge Band is kind of a crulebrity (aka a Cru world celebrity). They lead the Midatlantic’s weekly Christmas conference, Radiate and are just well known throughout the Cru world. So, needless to say, it was a big deal they were coming to our Fall Retreat and pretty sweet that they were playing a concert at our campus.

Even cooler, we had West of West, a local Blacksburg Virginia Tech band of students open the concert for us. And seriously, they are AWESOME! My friend Brittany had been hyping them up for months, so it was great to finally hear them play. Below are some images from the night of the concert. West of West are seriously intense performers so it was so fun to experience their music!

“How Great the Fathers Love” is one of my favs. And the fact that they were pounding on that one drum just made it so great and powerful!
