So its been a couple weeks since thanksgiving, but I still wanted to share with you one of my family traditions from a glorious mashed potato filled holiday! My parents are divorced, so my sister and I normally spend a ton of time in the car together on holidays, but the last two years we’ve had thanksgiving with my mom’s side of the family on a weekend so we could all do something different on the actual holiday! David and I celebrated our first thanksgiving together by spending the day with his family, but I was super grateful to have been able to celebrate with mine a couple days before that.
My cousins are really rambunctious, and my family lives in a townhouse that doesn’t have any toys or video games for younger kids to play with. My family also usually hosts Thanksgiving. See the problem? So my sister and I have developed a fun tradition where we go on a walk with our dogs and all four of our cousins about an hour before dinner just to get all the energy out! This results in dogs almost being let off their leashes, lots of running, and Kelsey and I laughing hysterically at whatever misadventure the cousins + dogs are having. Also, we take pictures :]
I hope you enjoy this glimpse at my most favorite/hectic tradition! (Also how beautiful is my cousin in the picture above???) (and the image below shows you how crazy it can get, 3 dogs+2 cousins)
Erin just begs for me to take pictures of her!
