Ah so I hate to be late by a day blogging, but I’m trying to give myself grace in the early stages of all of this! This is our first week back on campus and it is SO awesome to be with all of the students again. I feel way more alive being able to sit down with women that I love and talk about what God is calling them to. I’m so so thankful for this time of my life where ministry is my JOB!
Well this is literally a month’s time coming, but here’s a little flashback into David and I’s first Christmas being married! To sum it up, it was busy. A good busy though. We were gone for three straight weeks from our little home in Radford and we’re so thankful to be back and settled in again. Now, my family’s Christmas is pretty crazy, my sister and I always spending a lot of the day in the car traveling back and forth. This year David and I spent Christmas in Northern Virginia with my family and he got to join in on the craziness.
It was wonderful to be able to fit in seeing all of our family this year and I look forward to many many crazy holidays in the future! Also, I hope you can forgive me for all the dog pictures…there might be more shots of little furry faces than there are people!
(this is the only shot I got of our little Christmas tree while it actually had presents under it)
David and I opened presents together and had our own little Christmas morning a week before the actual holiday so that we could still spend some time on our own.
And then we traveled up to my mom’s house and started celebrating on Christmas eve
I. am. obsessed.
We have a tradition of opening one present on Christmas Eve.
Cooper has a tradition of hiding at the bottom of the stairs, wishing it was over…
Right before our late night Christmas Eve service.
Awkward puppies on Christmas morning.
Maybe I inherited my dog obsession from my mom who absolutely LOVED that one of her presents was pictures of the dogs…
My grandma is FABULOUS
Not exactly sure what we’re laughing at, but I sure do look scary on Christmas morning…David did not get the pj’s memo.
Our handmade christmas tags :]
Then we headed to my Aunt and Uncle’s for Christmas dinner!
is it just me or have american girl dolls gotten seriously high tech and glamorous?
Hands down, weirdest game I’ve ever played.
And then my cousins got really really thankful for their dolls, so much so that they had to jump on the bed and go crazy.
My sister is the only one I know who was legitimately excited that she got all running clothes for Christmas.
She’s also the only person who wouldn’t stop taking pictures even when asked.
YAY! first Christmas together!
Our mini me’s.
And then we drove over to my Dad’s brothers and watched my Dad embarrass himself playing ping pong.
we were super intimidated.
