Happy Wednesday! Sorry I didn’t blog on Monday, but David and I went up to Harrisonburg to surprise my sister for her 21st birthday dinner! (somuchfun) The surprise included a long drive up and down 81, detours at midnight, drinking out of a miniature buddha, anthro mugs, and froyo. Pretty much the perfect surprise except for the detour.
Superbowl confession: I played about 12 games of solitaire during Cru’s Superbowl party…did anyone else do that? There’s something about football that makes me totally zone out so I figured that solitaire was the way to go. Second confession: I didn’t win any games without cheating.
Have I mentioned how much I love my job recently? Seriously, its the best. Not only does Cru as an organization take care of you really well mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, but my specific staff team at Radford is the best. Our jobs can be so hard emotionally sometimes that it is really important for us to just have fun together. So at the end of last semester we had a staff fun day where we ran around Roanoke for the entire day! It was so refreshing just to hang out together and joke around. We also got to go to some of the cutest most vintage places in Roanoke and I couldn’t help but document it.
My precious friend Sara aka SayWahl.
And my model Jobin.
Needless to say, it was a great day for food. I am now obsessed with Bubblecake.
photobomb :]
Mmmm…. :]
Alright, have you all heard of Black Dog Salvage? Maybe from the show Salvage Dawgs?? Okay, well its this awesome restoration resource in Roanoke and it is huge. And I fell in love when I walked in the doors. It was totally overwhelming because I had no idea what to look for because there was SO MUCH, but I loved every second of it. They have everything from doors to doorknobs, from windows to lightbulbs. Below are some of my favorite things.
Oh, did I mention everything was TEAL??
Gryffindor anyone?
And the two craziest/coolest things I saw.
And this will forever go down as the cutest day in history.
