Hey friends! Ohboy do I have a loooot to show you! My memorial weekend was absolutely wonderful and filled with creativity and relaxation and fun! David and I got to shoot Jonathan and Nikki’s wedding on Friday and then headed to Abingdon in southwest virginia to see Les Miserables and then spent the next day there running around town and getting very familiar with our shutter remote! We can finally do self portraits! I finished up the weekend today with a bridal shoot and two portraits sessions! That’s 6 shoots in 6 days, three of which were today!

Things I learned in this marathon of portraiture: Sunrise is the absolute best, especially for bridals! The 5am wakeup was beyond worth it. Beautiful souls make for beautiful photographs, always. Pouring rain is not necessarily a session’s death sentence, umbrellas and cloud cover plus the way the sun peeks out after the storm is stunning! I have not yet exhausted Radford’s locations…new finds include Hertiage Park in Blacksburg and a cute little bus station near the railroad tracks.
