jonathan & nikki are married!

Weddings

Two weeks ago, David and I sat in a small room in Richmond at Maggiano’s. We listened for almost two hours as close friends and family toasted Jonathan and Nikki and their upcoming marraige. As they toasted the Bowells and the Swopes. They described both families as people who care about people. It was amazing to see the legacy in that room alone. People who loved people and loved Jesus. It was inspiring.

And the next day during the ceremony and on the dance floor, you could tell it was true. Jonathan and Nikki are surrounded by the most wonderful people! The room was filled with such energy. Everyone was having fun, laughing together, and celebrating the two wonderful people that they were gathered in honor of.

And let me tell you, Jonathan and Nikki are nothing short of wonderful. Its clear that when they’re together, they’re complete. I can’t wait to see what adventures the Lord is going to bring them in their marraige. They mean so much to David and I. I was joking around with Nikki’s maid of honor Stephanie about crying into my camera all day, but I got choked up before Nikki even got to the church! As I was talking to Jonathan before the ceremony I asked how he felt, and he just replied that he was really feeling the heaviness of what he was about to do. He wasn’t nervous to see Nikki, he just knew the weight of the commitment of what he was doing and wanted to make sure he took it seriously. How great is that? I just really love these two. They’re genuine and caring, and they love people really well and sacrificially.
