Happy Tuesday friends! I’m headed out the door soon to my church community’s young adult summer service, but I wanted to make sure I showed off our summer bucket list on this pretty summer evening.
David and I are not very good planners. We really like having ideas, but when it comes down to making decisions we get stuck and then we go get Little Caesar’s and watch Netflix. Soooo we implemented the date jar, but forgot to use that too…so our next solution was the summer bucket list! We are DETERMINED to make these things happen this summer. It’s only seven things, so its super attainable and its all stuff that we really really want to do! Here’s the run down:
- Berry Picking…do I like berries? Not particularly. Does David like anything you can call food? Absolutely. Aesthetically this one is right up my alley, but David will for sure be the approved berry tester.
- Go to Hank’s…ok so Hank’s is kind of a legend in Radford. I had to find it once for a scavenger hunt my freshman year of college, but have never actually bought food there. Its a tiny little sketchy trailer next to a gas station that serves awesome hamburgers. The challenge? It does not have scheduled hours…
- See Darren Criss in concert…THIS IS HAPPENING! This sunday, I’ll finally be seeing Darren Criss live. I’m freaking out, ecstatic/kindofembarrasing. And I’m bringing David along for the ride. Pray for him…he might be the only straight guy there.
- Long exposure sparkler pictures…does this really need explaining?
- See a show…DONE!
- Go to a carnival…David and I have just really wanted to go to a carnival since we started dating 5 years ago! The one time we actually made it there the heavens opened up and the scariest storm cloud ever hovered over the ferris wheel. Needless to say, we left immediately. (we went to a fair on david’s birthday…buuuuut it was kinda crowded and our time was limited, still trying to decide if that counts)
- Reclaim a piece of old furniture…okayyyy this is a given. We want to jump on this Pinterest train already!
