Happy chilly Monday friends! I started off my day with an absolutely beautiful drive down Route 81 and it looks like fall colors are finally here :] I was so excited seeing the red and orange trees and was resisting the urge to pull over and take some excellent instagrams the entire way down. (i’m embarrassing, aren’t i?)

The last week has been crazyyy. As you might have seen on the blog Friday, David and I are officially tiny little puppy parents and we are definitely already being super weird about it. As I type, Neville is sitting on David’s lap with a bad case of the hiccups. Seriously, he’s the cutest. I have been resisting the temptation to instagram every picture I’ve taken on my iPhone…which let’s be honest…it’s been a LOT! Guys, I’m really weird and have brought him almost everywhere. Including our Cru Halloween party on friday night…I just carried him around all night like it was completely normal. My sister was here this weekend and I drove her back to JMU last night which meant I was gone for a total of 13 hours and I missed him the entire time. I’m an obsessed puppy owner and slightly embarrassed about it. Will you guys still love me?

Some not too puppy themed feels from this week:

• My life experience has always been and I firmly stand by the fact that car rides are the best place for conversations. Something about driving slightly aimlessly, especially in the dark, makes for awesome convos.
• David and I were Mr and Mrs Pacman for the Halloween party. I saw this on a blog like EIGHT months ago…and of course I didn’t start the costume until 3 hours before the party, resulting in panic and me stressing everyone out in the general vicinity. Typical. My crafting eyes are always unrealistic when it comes to time restraints.
• On the bright side, we looked awesome and I throughly enjoyed being able to run around muttering “womp womp womp womp” and pretending to be in a video game all night.
• My friend convinced us to watch Scream on Halloween. Mistake. I’m swearing off all scary movies forever and ever.
• David thinks that having a puppy is a lot like having a newborn baby…I am not agreeing him for the pure fact that I do not welcome the wrath of new mothers everywhere.

I’ve got some good stuff coming on the blog this week! A super cute engagement session on the blog tomorrow and a sweet family session later in the week! The image below is from the family session!
