Holiday Extravaganza has begun! My family lives in Northern Virginia, David’s lives in Norfolk, and we live in Radford. This means that come holiday time we make the full rounds of Virginia, traveling around the entire state, spending lots of quality time in the car. Right now we’re in Norfolk spending some time with David’s family before Thanksgiving. I am so thankful that our job allows us to spend time traveling to family so that we aren’t stuck in the 19 degree weather of Radford right now…for real people. It is 19 degrees there. While I am very sad to be missing the soon to be snow, I am glad to spending some time in the warmer parts of the state :]

So speaking of traveling…this is our first experience traveling with two dogs! Plus all of our stuff, plus all of the dogs stuff, plus my iMac. Yes, you read that right. We are traveling with my desktop computer. Call us crazy :] We experienced the first engagement shoot with not one, but two puppies in Richmond on Saturday evening. David is a champ. Yes, he was wandering and we occasionally lost track of him. But I was glad to have him keeping track of our puppies and fielding all of the new puppy questions from admiring strangers. (how old is he? what’s his name? what’s his breed? whew. its tough having such a cute dog :])

As always, here’s some chilly Monday feels and a preview or two!

• I saw Catching Fire on Thursday evening and it took my breath away. I’m being dramatic. But man oh man, I would watch that movie ten times in a row. As usual, Jennifer Lawrence was a perfect human being and it was incredible to watch. 
• As a result of the above feel…I have now started reading Mockingjay…again.
• Pixar’s Up is amazing. But, it might be too much for my fragile soul. David and I turned it on Saturday night (woo temporary cable!) and I immediately started ugly crying. I’m serious. Bawling my eyes out because Mr Frederickson was reading a note from Ellie. And Kevin and Russell and Doug. And it was just too much. Poor David is stuck with my crazy emotional self.
• I think I may have experienced what it is like to be a photographer in Richmond. On Saturday Evening in Libby Park there were not one, not two, but FOUR other shoots going on! It was crazy having to dodge other photographers instead of just random passerbys. Also…David said he may have saw someone propose…BUT he didn’t point it out to us. Guess that’s still on my bucket list.
• David’s mom makes ridiculously good chocolate chip cookies and I think they may be drugged because I am addicted. I wish I could share them via the internet so you all could experience the magic!
