Friends, I am writing this depth of feels from my OWN desk chair in my own little office and not from the floor of my childhood bedroom. Aka this is a good day and we are finally home!
After three and a half weeks full of christmases, celebrations, family, and dear friends David and I finally made the 4 hour drive in the pouring rain back to sweet Radford. Love it. Sometimes I am not so thankful to live in this tiny town, but today as I walked my puppies around the block and made scrambled eggs in my own kitchen I found myself super thankful to be here. I loved my time traveling all around Virginia but I am excited that today’s blog comes from good old Radford :]
Now for some depth of feels:
- I had an excellent world’s colliding moment a week ago where I went to church in Reston with some friends and then ran into a set of college friends, an old teammate of my sister’s, and a friend I’ve had since I was one years old. My heart was exploding with happiness.
- This world colliding continued when we all went to a local music venue to see another friend’s band compete. (ps: check out beggars made believers, they rock.) Other than feeling like I was in the Bronze (shout out Buffy fans!) with all of the 90s nostalgia, it was such a blast.
- I think that most conversations go better over chai tea lattes. I dare you to prove me wrong.
- Whenever David and I have a long drive to take two things always happen: 1. the heavens open and it rains like crazy for at least two hours. 2. the heavens open and we get to see epic sunsets and skylines.
- Also: audiobooks are severely underrated.
- Also: do you want to build a snowman? I’m still obsessed with Frozen and not the least bit ashamed.
Sometimes when I am waiting for images to load into Lightroom, Neville and I take selfies together. Until next time, friends.
