Good afternoon on this sleepy Monday! I am currently fighting off the end of a cold while also fighting off excitement from all that is happening in my life right now. (aka its hard to be excited but also sick) Seriously, some good stuff is brewing. This week, I’m welcoming two new couples into the KPP family and I am ECSTATIC to say that it is 2014 and my first real deal wedding season starting in a week and a half. Whew, time flies and fun things pass you by. I’m just praying I let myself enjoy all the excitement while it’s here!

In other news, Christmas is finally over in the Phipps house. After the Neville puppy tore down some homemade garland from my tree I could no longer live in denial. The tree is gone and our house is looking a little empty, why can’t twinkly lights be a year round acceptance?  This last week has been a whirlwind of getting ready for a new semester and preparing for the students that are officially back! We also had an engagement session with a new couple last night and they are LOVELY! Cannot wait to show them off on the blog later this week!

Now for some feels…

• David and I are hooked on Breaking Bad. It’s like a really bad addiction…was that close enough to a pun?
• Marriott is my hero – After traveling for what seems like EVER and finally returning home I figured out that I was missing a pair of black jeans and a grey lace skirt. I had NO idea what I could’ve done with them, so as a last ditch effort I called the Marriott we had stayed at 10 days previously. YES, 10 days without noticing my clothes were missing. They were amazing and shipped me the giant box of my things for free. Turns out I had left seriously all of my favorite things. Chunky sweater, black dress, new cardigan. Everything. 10 points to you Marriott. (am i really that scatter brained?)
• Like I said, I’m fighting off sickness. I currently sound like Phoebe in Friends when she has her “sexy voice” to sing with, but praise the lord for neighbors who bring you soup when you’re feeling down :]
• Ever wondered what to do when you don’t know how to groom your fluffy dog? Easy. Have your sister chase him around the living room with scissors leaving a trail of puppy hair everywhere. Messy? yes. Effective? ….kind of.

Also, a bride who loves confetti is the best kind of bride!
