I don’t know how to start today except to say that I LOVE my job. I love love. I love winter light. And most recently snowy winter light…but that’s a story for later this week…
Let me introduce you to the wonderful Quin and Stephanie. Stephanie contacted me via email about a month ago and a couple weeks later, we met in freezing Blacksburg to shoot their engagement portraits. But I think my favorite part of this story so far is the inbetween all of that :] Through super excited emails back and forth, a early morning skype date, and scheduling the engagement session, I had found out a lot about Quin and Stephanie. Number one, they met on summer project. (a missions trip through cru) Aka this is AWESOME! They were brought together one summer in Chicago, even though they actually live hours and hours apart. And now they’re going to be working for Cru! Safe to say they already had a special place in my heart. Number two, on their first date Quin got Stephanie out of the city so she could get away from the tall buildings and see they sky. Adorable. Number three, their second date was Chipotle. All wins in my book. Also Stephanie LOVES confetti!
So the evening before their session, I was super sick. Like man voice and weird coughs sick. I was walking around Target with David and some friends dressed in a giant sweater and leggings, because what else is there to do in the NRV on a Saturday night? And OF COURSE, I run into Stephanie and Quin. What a small, small world. After informing them they were indeed catching me at my weirdest and that I had no reason to be at Target other than it’s a place that I spend a lot of my time, we parted ways and I hoped that they would selectively not remember how weird I was the next day. Haha no such luck. Quin and Stephanie, thanks for being weird with me. Thanks for smiling as I squealed about how adorable you two were all day!
These two are two of the sweetest people you could meet, and I’m so excited that their session is finally on the blog! David and I were driving home that Sunday afternoon nodding and agreeing that we were SO glad these two are getting married. They are hilarious and genuine together and I am counting down until July 19th!
I think it was at this point (only like 20 frames in) that I screamed and said “this is going to be a great day!!”
PS: Stephanie you have the cutest smile EVER!
Quin and Stephanie are saving their first kiss for their big day, but I had Stephanie reenact the first time she kissed Quin…on the elbow :]
LOVE! A favorite for sure.
Stephanie asked if we could get some shots by the old rundown buildings….um duh!
This is what we call a happy accident! They are getting married July 19th and I noticed the 19 in post processing :]
I think it was time to SNUGGLE FOR WARMTH at this point!
Leave some love in the comment section! Quin and Stephanie are doing long distance right now :]
