Good evening dear readers. Life has been a whirlwind lately, but things are happening. I have been thinking about high school a ton this last week, ever since I asked my small group what their high school theme song was. After getting answers like the Jonas Brothers and “We are Young” I realized I was old and have been listening to the Goo Goo Dolls, Hellogoodbye, Boys like Girls, and anything slightly nostalgic ever since. I was just as attached to my camera in high school as I am now and goodness gracious do I have a lot of less than flattering pictures stored up in case anyone ever wanted to severely embarrass me. Sigh. Oh, high school Kaitlyn.

I’m going to skip right to the feels after expressing my deep need for some rest soon. I’m craving going to a beach somewhere and feeling sand between my toes. I love me some sweaters. But I am ready for dress season to be back. I think the perfect way to solve this is either intense amounts of snow or sunny skies and sandy beaches.

• Did anyone see the opening ceremony? Strike that. Did any see the USA cardigans? Seriously, blowing my mind. It would be the perfect gift for David, but sitting at $1700 it would be the only present he got for the rest of his life.
• PS: I’m not a big Olympics fan, but I can’t say I hated watching ice dancing. Super intense Russians, for the win.
• Sweet potato fries and Bubblecake cupcakes make my heart happy.
• Is anyone still filled with childlike wonder over Dairy Queen Blizzards? How the HECK do they turn them upside down and defeat gravity? And if you’re wondering, yes, they still do that, even in the drive-thru!
