This is long overdue! But, huge congratulations are due to my sister Kelsey who graduated from JMU two weeks ago!
So for me, graduating college meant the end of a chapter that I was SO happy to be through with. By the end of college I’d changed so much, I wasn’t passionate about my major anymore, I was just ready to be done and do something that I WAS crazy passionate about. So walking across the stage was more of a sigh of relief instead of a sense of accomplishment.
Seeing Kelsey walk across the stage was so different! She graduated with her degree in Athletic Training, something she’s been passionate about for years and really loves learning about. I’ve gotten to see her grow up loving athletics and loving team mentality and then actually pursuing that in high education. She’s worked so, so hard to get where she is. She’s gone through tough hours, longer often than the sports teams themselves, all while studying hard and being involved on campus. Her athletic training major is like a little family, so it was fun to watch them all walk across the stage together and celebrate.
I’m so proud of her! She’s actually headed to Radford in a couple months to do an internship with the university for a year, so I’m pumped we actually get to be around each other! Yay for no more classes and homework and a life full of passion.

Kelsey and her major went through and hugged all of their professors before they walked across the stage.
There she goes!
And then we needed a way to entertain ourselves for the next two hours…
This is the progression of Ben noticing I’m taking his picture.
This should be every graduates tradition…shaking up some champagne and seeing what happens!
Happy graduation Kels!
