Life is such a whirlwind! I feel like that has been my mantra lately, but that is so the truth. I’ve been spending a lot of time in the car with the radio turned up loud singing and dreaming of wherever I’m headed next. Wonderful life event after wonderful life event. It’s just such a privilege to be a part of. That’s why I love photography…you get to have this special front row seat to someone’s most favorite day. You are allowed to bear witness to the intimacy in new life and in new beginnings. Yes, life is full and I haven’t been home much, but it’s good. Very, very good.

This week was full of a lot of unexpected travel and joy. I spent the first half of the week in Atlantic City and then took a 10 hour road trip home knowing that I’d be back on my way up to NOVA in only 40 short hours. This was officially the longest amount of time David and I have spent away from each other since marriage so I’d say it was worth the road trip back :] And two days later, we’re back at home and thankful to be here for 5 days and packing up our little house the entire time! That’s right it’s moving time! So I better get back to editing and boxes and leave you with some feels…

• My mom and I did water aerobics on Wednesday morning. It was so odd and everything it is stereotyped to be. We even did a pinwheel in the middle of the pool to Katy Perry’s “Firework.”
• On one of many road trips in the past week I got the musical theatre blues and decided to listen to some of my favorites…while I was zooming down 81 belting out Wicked and Hairspray I just kept thinking of how hilarious it would be to be pulled over and have “Defying Gravity” blasting through the speakers.
• I had a frozen drink every day on mini vacay last week and it was glorious. Absolutely glorious.
• We’ve officially checked two things off our summer bucket list! Yesterday we went to the Alamo Theatre in Ashburn and it was so fun! I just love the movies no matter what it is we’re seeing. And the fact that you can order awesome food at the same time is perfection. Also, friends that want to help you check off your bucket list are the best time.
• Going along with the theme of musicals…I’ve watched just about 4 Disney Channel Original Movies this week (or DCOMs, duh). I told David that I concluded that Camp Rock 2 was much better than Camp Rock and he just laughed at me. So much for misplaced nostalgia.

This weekend was wonderful for many reasons…one of which was a bride in a blush pink dress.
