Oh dear friends, it is nice that it is Monday. This is actually the last Monday that I’ll be blogging depth of feels from our little house! I’m all awash in “lasts” and “remembers” because it is moving week. And tonight is our last sleep in our house! In the midst of shooting weddings and keeping up with editing, we’re taking every spare moment to take boxes over to the new house and paint a couple rooms over there! It’s a little weird having stuff in two places, but by the end of this week we’ll be all moved in!
In other news, David and I realized on the way home just how busy this last month as been! Since memorial day, I’ve shot 6 weddings, 4 of which he has second shot for me, and I second shot a wedding a couple weeks ago! No wonder we’re a little exhausted! Throw in moving and this month has been chaos. Chaos of the best kind of course. We’ve got a two week stretch with no weddings and lots of traveling coming up and then it’s back to wedding weekends which I’m already excited about :]
Time to finish up painting and time for feels:
- I am a self proclaimed expert at painting around the trim. Our new house it looking fine and I’ve finally got a turquoise office :]
- Nothing, I repeat NOTHING, will get people young and old out on the dance floor like “Get Low” and hilarity always ensues.
- If I shoot your wedding you can be sure of two things….I will cry into my camera during your first dance (why? I’m not really sure) and I will most certainly be holding in sobs if the father of the bride gives a toast.
- David is an awesome second shooter for many reasons. He makes sure that I eat, drink water, fetches batteries…and doesn’t laugh at me for any of the aforementioned crying episodes.
- I know I’m about seven years late to this YouTube party…but I’m obsessed with the Vlogbrothers lately…aka Hank and John Green. I’ve been telling stories to David about “people I know” or “someone” and it is almost always a reference to my new vlogger obsession.
A groom that knows how to turn on the smolder is an awesome thing. Can’t wait to show off more of Brian and Caitlin’s Virginia wedding next week!
