Well I’m not writing from my new house, because we’re forever out of town, BUT I could be! We’re officially all moved in and living in our new house! (minus this weekend and every weekend because of the aforementioned traveling) Our new house is quirky and still covered in boxes, but it is ours and we’re adjusting to living there. I can’t wait to drive home today and get even more settled in, honestly!
I hope you all enjoyed your holiday weekend! David and I spent practically every second on the house, but we got to spend Friday evening swinging on our porch, eating homemade meatballs, and playing with giant sparklers with our friends. This weekend we also got to celebrate birthdays and meet adorable baby Jude. That’s right, Daniel and Christy had their baby! And he is just as cute as they are :]
Well three more more weddings this summer and many more life celebrations to go! Feels time:
- David and I started our summer challenge of making something new every week and started with something easy. We made Star Spangled Pie for Fourth of July which was crazy easy and also delicious. This week? Bagels :]
- I am not kidding or exaggerating when I relay this: David and I were swinging away on Friday evening when two kids furiously skateboarded past us. Kid 1: Man, I can’t wait until I’m driving, I’ll be DRIVING to friends’ houses! Except with many expletives. And much gusto. Oh, youth.
- Much to his disappointment, we brought Neville in the pool with us this weekend. He looked so miserable. But out of clear desperation, he was an excellent swimmer. We’ve cuddled him a lot since then to make up for it.
- I just found out that this week is going to be one of reunions! I’m getting to see some friends I haven’t seen in SO long and am so pumped to be able to catch up on life over coffee.
- In other news, I’m still in. love. with. doctor. who. Doctor #11 is stealing my heart.
More of this sassy baby on the blog real soon :]
