Happy Monday beautiful people! It was an excellent week and an even more excellent weekend which means I’m super pumped for this week to begin. This week starting means this is the week that my sister moves to Radford and the week that two dear friends get married. Remember Matt & Becca? Yeahhhh, that is happening and I’m thrilled and counting down the days. Also two wedding weekends in a row with two beautiful couples kinda makes my heart sing a little. Okay? Okay.
I know this is a bit dorky to be excited about, but I hit over 500 fans on facebook! After I posted the confetti picture from this weekend my fans shot up a ton! Yay new friends :]
More important news: It has officially been SEVEN years since I stood in line at midnight waiting desperately to find out what happened to Harry and his friends. So now my dreary Monday is spent reminiscing and wanting to go back in time and wait in just one more packed bookstore. And then to, of course, stay up all night long with only Coca-cola for fuel reading feverishly and crying when it ended. I’m sentimental and I’m a nerd. Deadly combination.
Feels time:
- The only downside to our hobbit like upstairs is that it is becoming increasingly hard to note the sloped ceiling. Yesterday I walked out of the closet a little too quickly, hit my head on the ceiling, and promptly fell to the floor. Today’s forehead bruise is not so cute.
- Confetti should always, ALWAYS, be present for celebrations. More importantly, confetti cannons should always be present.
- We made bagels from scratch this week and oh. my. gosh. They were so, so tasty. I’m loving breaking in our new kitchen. Every time we cook it feels a little bit more like a home.
- David and I started one of our summer bucket list goals to refurbish a piece of old furniture! So we picked up a 90s style entertainment center and I’ve been painting like crazy. There’s still a bit more to do, but I’m loving the results so far. And as a bonus…we’ve now got something bright and coral in our dining room.
- I don’t know that I’ve mentioned this before…but I’m addicted to Coke Zero. Like love it. David helps me try to stay healthy and limits me to two a day. And today, I’ve only had water…but not for lack of trying. We just happen to be out of Coke Zero.
- Also Coke’s marketing strategy right now is genius. David and I are now constantly searching through fridges and bins in stores for the names of people we know. (most importantly my name :] if anybody sees it, let me know)
I can’t even talk about this gorgeous Sinkland Farms wedding without breaking into a huge smile. More coming soon :]
