Monday, I sure am glad to see you. It’s been one of those weeks that a fresh start is SO needed. Lots of sleepless nights and lots of transition mean that Monday is SO so welcome.
This week was absolute insanity! Our BFFs left to go back to Northern Virginia…which means that David and I now have no plans what so ever on weeknights. Basically because we spent the last couple weeks spending every night playing games with Maddy and Mark. Shortly after they left my sister and Mom arrived in Radford to move Kelsey in at 11PM. That’s right. 11PM. We moved her in at 1AM and then promptly took off for Maryland in the morning for Matt and Becca’s wedding weekend! Phew. What a blast. It was so fun to see good friends from all over the state reunited in one place. And I must say, seeing too good friends get married and shooting their wedding means that you will be holding back sobs from the front of the ceremony. Becca’s dress was the stuff dreams are made of and their reception was so full of love and fun!
My first ever two full length weddings in a row means that I’m in super post processing mode. So it is time for some feels:
- This was my first ever wedding shooting without David. He was one of Matt’s groomsmen so I found myself without my partner for the day! Eek! Although I missed David, I had the fabulous Glorianna Picini by my side as well as my friend Brooke. Thank goodness for a second shooter and assistant who will laugh with me and pray with me all day long.
- My mom and my sister and I are legitimately nuts. Actually, pretty much all the women in our family are. We have laughing fits that cannot be stopped for days. I knew that my Mom and sister had arrived on Thursday evening late at night because I heard them doubled over in laughter outside my door. I was laughing so hard I couldn’t breathe before they even got in the house.
- We officially have a dining room table in our home! Eeek! Still no chairs, but I’m choosing to look on the bright side :]
- It has officially been a year since our dear friends Mark and Emily got married. I took on the crazy task of making a wedding video for them and loved reliving both the memory of their day and my little adventure into videography. Check it out here.
- Most hilarious moment from the wedding this weekend…Brooke was dumping all of our plates from dinner and came back with linen napkins in hand. Glorianne was about to throw her trash away and then asked Brooke what she did with the silverware…Brooke responded, and I quote “Oh I didn’t know what to do with them so I just threw them away!” Cue us freaking out and laughing so hard we cried.
Cannot wait to show off more from this beautiful day.
