A love story seven years in the making. How crazy to think that when most teenagers are worrying about college and SATs and graduating, that Nathan and Joanna were finding their once in a lifetime love. Their high school crush that would turn into something irreplaceable and unexpected. Couple that with the fact that they both fell in love with the Lord, and therefore even more with each other in college and it was clear it was meant to be.
Nathan and Joanna are purely fun people. Their joy is contagious to be around. They have this unique ability to make you feel cared about, they’re interested in other people. So of course, the day they’d been waiting for since high school was a good day. Friends and family gathered and it was nothing short of an all out party. Joanna had crafted absolutely everything at the Hermitage in Norfolk perfectly, no detail forgotten. Laughter was on everybody’s lips, Christ’s praises on everyone’s tongues and over and over again I kept hearing, finally, FINALLY they’re together forever.
Something I love about being a part of weddings is what an absolute privilege it is to get let into someone’s family for the day. The love and laughter and elegance on this beautiful day in Norfolk was infectious and I couldn’t help but leave wanting the dance party to go on through the night. Nathan and Joanna, we wish you both the best in California!
