I’m blogging from campus! I have not been able to say that in quite awhile, friends :] I’m sitting amidst a flurry of students and papers and beginning of year plans and my goodness it is overwhelming and awesome at the same time. Somehow the beginning of the school year always sneaks up on me.

But here we are! There are freshman with bright red lanyards everywhere and new backpacks and a brand new grad student named Jobin. aka his real name is David. It’s David’s first day of school! Ahh! So many new things all at once. The last week feels like a big blur! All of our students from Cru are officially back, so we got to welcome them all in with a dinner and meeting time in a barn :] Radford is officially not the sleepy little town it is during the summer, there are actual cars on the roads and people on Main Street and students EVERYWHERE. I love the sleepy times in Radford, but it makes the students coming back even sweeter. Everything is hustling and bustling and it is purely wonderful.

Now for some feels, because there is so much in my brain I can barely think to type :]

• Laughing with old friends is the best medicine. I got to spend part of the day yesterday with my friend of 23 years and just laughing so hard together in easy company revived me to start this week strong! Ten year old inside jokes make my heart happy.
• Back to school means back to school ads…I watched this video on youtube the other day and this song has been freakin stuck in my head since then. You go Old Navy! Also I’m awkwardly emotional and got a little teary when the duet started at the end.
• Speaking of cheesy school things…Girl Meets World, the semisequel to Boy Meets world is actually good. Like literally good. My twelve year old self loves to see Cory and Topanga back together…but my twenty four year old self actually likes the show.
• Run, don’t walk, to your nearest grocery store and stock up on Nutella. It is about to go up in price due to a hazelnut shortage and that is clearly an emergency.
• Neville puppy is getting so much love lately. I’m bringing him on campus to socialize every chance I get and he is so floppy and excited!
