I’m blogging on a Saturday because I was SO excited to talk about my A Practical Wedding Workshop experience a la Abby Grace Photography. I had the privilege of just serving Abby and helping her out the night before the workshop as well as on the actual day. The coolest part of seeing the behind the scenes was just how much work and thought she had put into this.
The premise of the workshop is that the attendees would walk away with a concrete plan, feeling like they know how to move forward on a wedding day. I have picked up so much from Abby in the last year and a half, and I owe so much of where my business is now to her! I really feel like she accomplished her goal. It was fun to see everyone getting excited about this crazy job we all do and leaving the day with newfound goals and confidence. What a blessing to be a part of something so fun and beneficial!
My favorite part of the day was definitely connecting with other photographers (I even got to meet another photographer who is crazy enough to combine her business and ministry, hi chelsea!) and hearing the heart behind Abby’s business. It really challenged me to start digging deep into the WHY behind everything I’m doing. I know I’ve barely processed all that we’ve learned and the real benefits of this workshop are still churning in my heart in mind. But still, I want to give a long distance, over the internet hug to Abby for sharing her knowledge so transparently. You’re the best.
This one’s just Abby in a nutshell :]
And after a whole day full of learning, we were off to the styled shoot!
On the right, Abby demonstrating how to pose your clients.
Mary, you’re the cutest.
Abby let us loose on her models to take turns posing and photographing, while she rocked out headshots for the girls.
Have you ever seen a more beautiful and classy couple?

And of course, it wouldn’t be an Abby Grace Workshop without glass Coca Cola bottles and cute paper straws.
A big warm thank you hug to these amazing vendors:
