Greg and Stephanie seem to be one of those things that didn’t happen until it happened, and from then on, it was all or nothing. A first date in Barcelona. A proposal on on the West Coast. A love story that takes its roots all the way to another continent. But it all started in college. Over the years at Virginia Tech they noticed each other sparingly, always caught up in something else…not knowing that their futures were perfectly intertwined. A shared passion brought them both overseas for two years, and brought them to lead a team together; ultimately this passion is what brought them to falling head over heels in love.
And all the while there were paper airplanes. One being passed to encourage. Another flying to express attraction. Ten more over a period of 10 weeks of being separated by an ocean. One to say “I love you” and another to say “forever.”
As we spent a chilly Blacksburg sunrise together, I noticed an easiness with Greg and Stephanie. Greg is so tender and sweet with Stephanie, that glint in his eye that is reserved only for her. She breathes easier around him, laughs more quickly in his arms. All those things combined with a bonus of perfectly crafted paper airplanes makes their December wedding something I’m waiting for with bated breath.
Congratulations to the newly engaged Greg and Stephanie, and here’s to forever together.
Stephanie, you are so beautiful!
Sighhhh.
Did I mention they love to dance? Isn’t this the cutest?!
Bonus: Greg impressing his new almost wife with his sweet moves.
