Another week has come and gone and the Monday blues are here again. I will say that Monday doesn’t feel so blue when you fill it with good people and good things. I get to spend every Monday with my staff team, meeting with one of my favorite people, and both going to my church’s small group and leading a group of Junior women in a small group in my home. Yes, I’m always a little bit tired come 10PM, but it is always so refreshing that Monday feels worth it!

The leaves are falling in Radford and it is so FALL outside that I’m just smiling all the time. There is nothing in the world like driving in the NRV in October with the leaves falling, and I’ve got a bunch of portrait sessions coming up to take advantage of that very fact.

This week was awesome for many reasons. One: it included a lot of rest. Two: I got to visit home. Three: DAVID AND I ATTENDED A WEDDING! That’s right folks. It’s been like a year and a half since we were last wedding “guests” instead of vendors and it was so fun. We danced our little hearts out, made friends with our table (table 10 forever!), and took full advantage of the photobooth. And I’m going to be honest with you friends, being a part of a sparkler exit is so much more fun than shooting one. Because playing with fire is awesome.

Feels time:

• Olive Garden will never ever cease to be amazing. Endless soup and salad is a gift from the Lord.
• My mom and stepdad just moved into a quieter area of NOVA surrounded by woods and are seeing tons of woodland creatures prancing through their yard. The following was an actual conversation that took place Sunday morning. Mom: I saw a big animal outside, but it wasn’t a deer…or a fox….what does a cougar look like?! Me: …. Mom: ………… Me: MOM YOU DID NOT SEE A COUGAR THIS MORNING!
• So many awesome things happened at my dear Megan’s wedding this weekend. Here are the top three: The groom’s acapella group serenading the bride via the music of One Direction and Backstreet Boys. The maid of honor’s reconstructing rap to “Fancy.” And of course, the hokie bird dancing the night away along with the rest of the guests.
• Okay and this next thing deserves its own category: there were glow sticks everywhere. Giant foam glow sticks, glowy bling rings, and glow necklaces. It was perfect.
