Good afternoon almost evening Monday people! You have officially almost made it through the beginning of the week. Congrats to you and congrats to us all!
I feel like I’ve got to brag for a minute here. I had a totally normal and uneventful weekend! YAY! That hasn’t happened in so long. Usually my weekends are booked up with events or I’m out of town and this weekend was purely normal and that rocked. I went to a friend’s house for an all ladies in home wine tasting, which was wonderful! There’s nothing like wine, not knowing how to be fancy and embarrassing stories to make a girl’s friday night. Anyone ever tried a wine nacho before? Chocolate and blue cheese?…um unexpectedly delicious. I also got a spend a Saturday doing whatever I wanted with my husband :] For us that meant catching up on some Grey’s, Panera, shopping, and movie going. Finish that up on Sunday with my church family and a family portrait session and I’d call that weekend a win!
Good stuff, now for some feels:
- In the past week and a half I’ve done FIVE portrait sessions. So fun! The real treat is that every single one was unique. One was maternity, one was engagement, one was a young family (aka my practice for mini sessions!), another roommates, and finally another family session! I loved getting to spend my time with people in all different stages of life!
- Bonus: lots of pretty stuff coming to the blog in the next couple weeks.
- Sometimes when my to-do list is just about a mile high I like to take some deep breaths, sing Ben Rector real loud, and then try to retackle whatever I was working on. And sometimes it totally works.
- I have no idea which wines pair with which cheeses. A fact that was ever illuminated on Friday night. Actually scratch that, I don’t know which wines are which in general.
- The movie Gone Girl was so incredibly good. But also…disturbing. As the lights went up in the theatre David turned to me and said, “I feel like we should go home and watch something funny.” Agreed.
- Attending the Gap’s 40% off everything sale literally feels like stealing. I got new jeans for TWELVE DOLLARS! That does not happen at the Gap people.
So many pretties coming to the blog soon. And keep a lookout on my instagram for a special giveaway!
