Hello cloudy Monday friends!

Am I the only one who is not relishing in Daylight Savings time? 5PM sunsets are beautiful and everything, but they always make me more prone to sleepiness and nap-wanting constantly. That extra hour of sleep last week was dang good, butttttt I’m just wishing that it was light outside!

On the bright side (hah, get it?), this week brought good things. I got to have my first ever jam packed engagement weekend! We shot an afternoon engagement session on Saturday in Northern Virginia, followed by a sunrise esession in Maryland! It was so fun and refreshing :] I love this season of life. I’m getting to know new clients constantly and it is so cool to get to see their relationship play out into marriage. Excited for these couples to enter the KPP family and to look forward to their 2015 & 2016 weddings!

This weekend was also special because we got a really good phone call on the way to Northern Virginia. Our best friends were going into labor! AHH! Little Zoe came into the world 5 weeks early, and we got to be there to meet her! If this had happened any other weekend, we would’ve had to celebrate from a far. But the Lord’s timing was incredible. It was so special to be there to meet our friends’ little one.

Now for some feels:

• Here’s how you know your friends are awesome: When you visit them at the hospital after delivering a BABY into the world, they spend time asking about your life and listening to you. How am I so lucky to know people like that?!
• If you can’t sing “Lips of an Angel” by Hinder loud and proud with your husband…then what are you doing? But seriously, there is probably no acceptable time to sing this…other than in mutual mocking with your best friend.
• My puppy knows when I’m feeling down and it’s the best. He follows me around when I’m mopey. And gives extra cuddles and puppy eye stares.
• Reporting back from last week on Scott Westerfeld’s “The Uglies” series. AMAZING! I’m addicted. I’m halfway through book two. Literally couldn’t resist reading til almost 3AM last night.
• Speaking of addiction. You really shouldn’t download the iPhone app Cooking Fever. You….really….really….shouldn’t….
