Hello readers! I’m coming to you from my “mobile office” this Monday! And by home office, I mean iMac on a coffee table and computer desk as the floor, home office! That’s right, the holiday season has officially started for the Phipps.
Those who know me know that holidays are a little bit crazy for us! We travel all over the state of Virginia with our puppies in tow. It’s a blast, but also a little exhausting! SO for today, I’m thankful for my temporary office space, and family that will move mountains around so we get to spend time with them. We’re having 3 thanksgivings this go around and number 1 aka Paleo Thanksgiving was a hit yesterday! Tonight we’ll continue with Italian Thanksgiving, and Thursday will be Thanksgiving with David’s family. That is a heck of a lot of food. Eek! Hope I’m not turkey-ed out by the actual Holiday!
Now for some home feels:
- My parents recently moved and have this house with a giant property! Yesterday my sister spent a full 2 hours leaf blowing and only made a dent. But by far the best part of that was getting Neville with the leaf blower while he was trying to attack it! It made for some seriously hilarious pictures.
- Nothing says Thanksgiving like eating pie off purple “Congrats Grad” paper plates. That’s right, it’s 2014, 6 years after my graduation from high school, and we’re STILL using those things.
- Saw Mockingjay Part 1 on Thursday and am impressed! They made the first half of the book really exciting to watch! Book 3 lovers unite! (but seriously, mockingjay was a good book.)
- I’m thoroughly impressed with David right now. Not only did he read one of my favorite books “Eleanor and Park,” he read it in a week! I’m so proud!
- And finally, my biggest observation from seeing David go through grad school? The realization of how much I didn’t enjoy school. Praise the Lord I’m done with that! No 15 pagers for me! (sorry Jobin)
Can’t wait to show you more of this couple! They, for real, own a picnic basket.
