It’s December already! We’ve had our Christmas tree up for almost two weeks now and it feels awesome to be embracing the season early! I’m “one of those people” and I love it. New pick of the week for music? Francesca Battistelli’s Christmas album and also Jason Mraz’s cover of “Winter Wonderland.”

We just traveled for the last week so that meant lots of time in the car and lots of time to listen to Christmas music! I must say, David’s Christmas playlist surpassed mine by a million, but mine lasted a whole three hours…so that’s gotta be worth something. After a week full of traveling and packing and unpacking, we’re happy to be back home and experiencing a normal week :] I always miss our little house while we’re gone and I’m glad we’ll be home a little bit more this holiday season. (kinda…I’ll explain that at some point :]) Our week was full of car time and puppy time and family time and of course, Black Friday shopping. We ended the week with our first of many Christmas celebrations, our staff end of year party! Western murder mystery themed! So needless to say, I’ve got so much to share on the blog before I hit my mini busy season in two weeks. Keep a look out ;]

Now for some feels.

• When making fudge, it is weirdly important to have a big enough pot. Last night I was peacefully making my grandma’s recipe and then the fudge started to boil over creating a boiling effect on the burner and a plethora of smoke in the house. At least it turned out delicious. Lesson learned.
• For quite awhile, part of David and I’s church routine was driving down main street and seeing the same two old men, walking down a giant hill, in three piece suits. Where were they going? Who knows. Why were they in suits? NO ONE KNOWS. But they disappeared for a couple months and yesterday we saw them! We both immediately started cheering…because we’re weird.
• Neville now owns a chevron sweater. And I swear he looks extra sweet and even acts extra sweet when we wears it.
• The best part of the song “Marshmallow World” are the lyrics “the sun is red like a pumpkin head.” I was cracking myself up singing along in the car last night.
• Playing cards is the best way to bond. We spent a couple nights this week staying up late and playing games with friends and family. Things just start to get hilarious when it gets past midnight. (aka my mom is really competitive and it was funny)

Last but not least, seeing friends means seeing their sweet babes. I am not a baby photog, but I do love taking photos of my loved ones’ loved ones. Here’s little Miss Zoe and her parents.
