Friends, the last week has been an absolute whirlwind…which is why I’m blogging at 7:30PM on a Tuesday! Eek! A couple of days ago, I might have said differently, but I am so thankful for the last week of insanity! Since I last wrote, we traveled to South Carolina to shoot a wedding and then drove through the night to get me to the Creative at Heart conference in Stanton, VA. WHICH I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY ABOUT! But I’m going to wait.

I know I keep saying I’ll share soon, but I really mean it! There just have been too many awesome things! Two more weddings, Christmas recap, Radiate, an engagement session, and the Creative at Heart conference are all in my queue. And they will come. But for now I’ll say…I never expected to feel so loved at a conference full of Creatives, especially after coming out of the conference with my ministry. Creative at Heart filled my soul in a way that I wasn’t expecting! And I feel like I’m just in a big puddle of thankfulness right now. I cried for about a half hour trying to explain to David how wonderful everything was. So hi to new blog followers and new friends!

Now for some feels:

• This week was great, but I discovered one thing I’ll never do again. DRIVE THROUGH THE NIGHT! We really didn’t have a choice. But it came to 3AM on a foggy, deserted road in North Carolina and we just KNEW we needed to stop the car and sleep in order to be safe. So we found a hotel and took a nap for an hour….that’s right an hour.
• It was the most expensive nap I’ve ever taken.
• Today is my Dad’s 57th BIRTHDAY! He’s a blog follower and an encourager of my business and I’m glad we spent part of the day eating together. Even though we ate the most filling milkshakes imaginable and reflected on our unique childhood.
• Something consistent about the last week? Sweet, sweet conversations that celebrated Jesus. Old and new friends. 5 minute chats to 2 1/2 hour car rides. Such an encouragement to my soul.
• I shot portraits with OCF (off camera flash) for the first time on Saturday! What a journey! Can’t wait to show you more from Will & Courtney’s quaint South Carolina wedding!
