Greg and Stephanie’s Lynchburg wedding was indescribable. But I’m going to do my best. It was the perfect way to end 2014. I walked into Tresca on 8th to a venue that was hustling and bustling with details. A beaming Stephanie running around and making sure everything was ready for her day. Every time I saw Greg and Stephanie they both proclaimed they were “ready.” Just ready to marry the one that God had for them.
Greg walked down the aisle with a giant smile on his face and Stephanie’s dad, the officiant, explained the idea of “pursuit.” That just as God chased after us, moved toward us, that’s what Greg had done with Stephanie. Stephanie’s father took a beat to explain this before heading back down the aisle to escort his daughter to her new husband. He told their entire story so elegantly, from the first time he met Greg (in which Greg wore capris) to Stephanie and Greg’s patience in waiting to date, all the way up to Greg asking for her hand on the West Coast and finally asking for forever.
December 20th was both the culmination of Greg and Stephanie’s story and the beautiful beginning. They spent the day laughing and speaking sweet words and dancing and of course, surrounded by paper airplanes.
Mr and Mrs Mitchell, it was an honor to witness your love. Here’s to many years of notes scribbled on expertly folded paper and dance parties galore!
Can’t say I’ve ever photographed tap shoes before! But there’s a first time for everything in wedding photography 😀
Lilies to celebrate the way that God looks after her, and the way that Greg does as well.
I don’t know what this is, but they did it all day long! Such a fun bridal party!
Such a beautiful moment. Tresca on 8th fell silent as Greg and Stephanie and their guests sang loud praises to the Lord.
And then it was portrait time in the city and all was well :]
Love their laughter.
Favorite.
Oh yeah…did I mention that Greg and his mom tap danced for everyone??
Oh annnnnd Greg and his guys danced for Steph.
And they floated out the doors to “Trumpets” and paper airplanes sending them on their way.
