You know that awesome feeling when you feel like you’ve got your routine down and the world is your oyster?! Yeah. I’m not there yet with the semester starting up. Last week looked a lot more like scrambling around and working extra long hours to make sure that things get done! But I think that means I’m finally on top of everything, caught up and ready to start chugging along at a normal pace again. Remember folks, I’m learning to breathe well this year. (metaphorically of course, thankfully my body does a pretty good job of remembering physical breathing on it’s own) ((i’m sure my sister the athletic trainer might tell me differently))
Anyways, breathing well for me means I’m living life at a walk instead of a sprint or even a frantic run in a circle. It means that instead of my life looking like the dreaded “suicides” in gym – ya know, running back and forth, back and forth and eventually passing out from exhaustion? – it is going to look a little more like good balance, good routine, and good time to rest. Things that are really helping me do this? My Emily Ley Simplified Planner (serious game changer here), a well planned schedule in Excel, and a husband that looks out for me even though he’s got a million of his own things going on. Also…a really good color coding system.
And then of course the necessary ingredient of GRACE that is especially needed when your iMac decides to move crazy slow and take up an hour of your day :] So here’s to the good things and not so good things from this week…aka the feels:
Can’t wait to show off this cuddly and chilly engagement session on the blog this week!
