Hello Monday! I feel as if we’ve unexpectedly welcomed Spring in. Maybe that’s why I’m feeling so out of whack!
I spent the last three full days totally zonked out on the couch. I think all of the running around finally caught up in the form of sickness. Womp. But I am thankful it hit me when I didn’t have that much particularly going on. Isn’t that funny how that happens? I am personally a huge fan of cancelled plans, must be the introvert in me. So I kinda love getting sick when it shuts things down…like when it means I spend a Tuesday on the couch instead of working. Side note: that’s also why I love snow days. But alas, my sickness instead stole my weekend. And by stole I mean allowed me time to catch up on ALL of my shows. Yeah I guess it was okay timing :]
It was great because I had one super important thing to do everyday and nothing else. So on Friday, a coffee date with one of my small group girls, and then back to bed. On Saturday, a women’s group…and then back to bed. And Sunday…a short photoshoot, and then you guessed it, back to bed. So now I’m feeling almost 100% heading into this week …and I’m super glad to be out of my blanket cocoon.
Now for some feels:
- It is physically impossible for me to watch Glee season one without crying my eyes out. Legitimately every. single. episode. Every time Rachel sings a ballad. Every time Mercedes belts it out. Essentially every time any thing happens. I know what’s coming and I STILL CRY. I think that this fact explains a profound thing about me.
- After a short photoshoot at Valley Bible Church’s Bonhoeffer House, I got to sit on the porch and enjoy the fresh air before heading back to bed. After little Elijah noticed I was eyeing their Cat Cat, he told me this, “You will hold this cat.” And I did. Because I didn’t have a choice.
- I finished up another John Green book this weekend and am really wanting to share more of what I’m reading online, you know just for fun. Because mostly I read fluffy things and young adult stories, but it’d be fun to share that :] You know, ala #jstarreads? Would anyone want to jump on board with that? PS: The John Green book was three short stories entitled “Let it Snow.”
- Watching Hulu Plus for a straight three days leaves you feeling a little odd. Yes, I know what’s happening in Mindy Lahiri, Nick Miller, Leslie Knope, and Rachel Berry’s life….but do I know anything about reality?! DO I?!?! Time to get back to the real world, Kaitlyn.
- This Saturday I got to finish up another women’s group on the book Changes that Heal. It made me SUPER thankful for the way that God is moving at Redford, and specifically in that group of 6 women :] So here’s a small shout out to them! I love when people seek out redemption and truth, and I’m thankful to know you guys!
Can’t wait to show you more of the Bonhoeffer House mini shoot. I love the heart behind this ministry and I mean how can you not fall in love with this office?!
Also, if you didn’t see Nathan and Haley’s engagement shoot, you’re missing out. Hop on over there!
