Last week, I brought you the first set of images from Cru’s Radiate conference. And today I’m bringing you the last day and a half. This included a concert, an opportunity for students to make a tangible decision with their faith, and an amazing New Year’s Eve party. The last night is typically my favorite because we get to spend the last hours of the year dancing and having fun and the first couple worshipping Jesus. As soon as the clock strikes midnight, the Bridge Band takes the stage and we enter into singing and praise and prayer. It’s a really beautiful and meaningful way to start off the year. It’s so freeing. I got to walk around and watch students worship their Jesus.
There’s a little balcony that the photographers discovered towards the front of the stage. So after a half hour or so, I headed up there to shoot some. And the image of 1300 people worshipping is overwhelming. For me, it was another opportunity to be overwhelmed by the grace of God. That He would bring all of these students to this place. That He’d uniquely love each of them. That He would allow me to be a part of it.
Here’s a glimpse into the end of the Radiate conference.
This moment was purely amazing. After a joking moment from our main speaker about riding dolphins and eating churros (yep), a student constructed this fabulous website.
That’s my husband.
6 Way Street came and performed and it was a blast!
Love this woman. If you’re looking for a talk that will challenge your soul, look no further than Heather Holleman.
The rush into the room every meeting is so fun and overwhelming!
And the fabulous New Years party. The theme was “Nautical New Years” which kind of explains the crazy outfits.
These girls can fake laugh with the best of them.
Right before midnight!
Starting the New Year with a good ol’ bro hug.
This is the moment that overwhelmed me. I love my job!
