What a week! Yesterday afternoon, David and I arrived back at home after being in Northern Virginia for a quick 36 hours. When we weren’t shooting or driving, I was taking a couple minutes with my mom and David was working hard on grad school assignments. I just could not even imagine! He drove us to and from Northern Virginia and two engagement shoots and wrangled crazy Neville during the shoots. And on top of that, worked incredibly hard on school all weekend. He’s a keeper, friends. I’m excited for this summer for wedding season AND because David will get some much needed time off. It couldn’t be more welcome!
This weekend definitely started preparing me for wedding season though! Two engagement shoots in 24 hours made for a good time! It’d been quite awhile since I got to do a full session and it was so fun and just got me excited for spending time loving on my couples this summer. This week was also getting to spend time with my Mom and stepdad and my grandma! Going to their house always promises laughing a lot about weird things and eating really delicious food. My stepdad, Scott is an AMAZING chef. So one night was a taco kit dinner from my mom :] and the next was a wonderful pasta and sausage dish from Scott. I’m going to try and recreate it this week, so wish me luck :] This weekend was also staring spent staring at their neighbor’s Cherry Blossom lined driveway…and desperately wishing I could do a portrait session there. So I may or may not have gotten to have my Mom take some portraits of us there. More on that later :]
Now here are some feels:
Two engagement shoots means two previews! Can’t wait to show you more!
Neville smothering in process :]
