It’s always exciting driving to an engagement session when I haven’t met the couple in person yet. There’s only so much you can get to know over Skype chat, and since I do so many weddings for couples that aren’t in this area, I’ve had to get pretty familiar with Skype! When you meet people on Skype and love them, you know that it can only go up from there! There’s so much that speaking through a screen can’t communicate! And that was definitely the case with Anders and Emily. They’re currently living states and states away from each other, so they were in two separate Skype windows as we chatted and got to know each other. So OF COURSE, I was looking forward to spending time with time together during their engagement session.
And yes, as sweet as Anders and Emily were over the internet, the sweetness of them together was so much better than imagined. They’ve got a quiet type of love that’s full of little whispers and small laughs. It comes alive in quick glances at each other and a hand on her back as they walk together. It’s easy to see why they fell in love during their time at MIT. And really, when you’re on an 18 hour road trip with someone, how can you not notice them?! And so it goes for Anders and Emily. After a summer together in Cambridge, it was a sure thing. And with a walk around Walden Pond a couple years later over a picnic of Chic-Fil-A, Anders asked for her hand and Emily could only respond with “yes.”
I loved my time with these two and cannot wait for their July wedding. We spent the evening skipping around in the sunshine and dodging sightseers in Great Falls. These two are made for each other. I hope you enjoy their Great Falls engagement.
When the first few images look like this…you know it’s going to be a good day.
So sweet.
Loved catching those little in between moments.
My favorite!
You wouldn’t know it, but there were TONS of people around :]
Definitely a favorite!
