I can’t say enough sweet things about Mike and Adrianne. And after we rescheduled their session due to freezing temperatures and snow storms not once, but twice, our time together was LONG awaited and highly anticipated. And it did not disappoint, friends.
Of course, it started for these two in high school. They don’t remember when they met, but they do remember small glimpses of each other in classes and in the halls. They were always in each other’s orbits. Mike specifically remembers Adrianne telling off their AP history teacher, but as he graciously pointed out, everyone in that class was sure to remember that. After a slew of awkward and highly unmemorable first dates during winter break of Freshman year, they went their separate ways, back to their colleges and back to their lives. And yet, they were brought back together again when Adrianne “liked” Mike’s posts on Facebook and Mike slyly asked if Adrianne had room for him on her iCal. A modern relationship if nothing else :] With a resounding yes, the time was finally right and as Adrianne says “the rest was history.”
And so it was. After a hike up a mountain and Mike’s final “dad joke” of their dating relationship, (“I want to shout it from the mountains how much I love you so I guess this’ll do”) they were officially official and together forever was waiting for them. Life around Mike and Adrianne is sure to be full of laughter and light. They truly light up around each other and subsequently light up everyone else around them. Between the way that they crack jokes around each other and the sweetness of their long embraces, David and I were going on and on about them the whole ride home. Literally the whole ride home. Walking around Old Town Alexandria amongst the cherry blossoms with the future Barlows was a dream. At this point, we’re counting down to their October wedding right alongside them.
Hope you enjoy one of my favorite sessions of all time :]
This is the kind of glow that only comes at sunrise :]
Cherry Blossoms for the win!
Love the way Mike looks at her!
