I’m a firm believer in living in the right now…it’s very, very hard, but so good! When you’re living in the present and fully in what is happening around you, you’re more thankful! For me, it often means I get to more clearly see what God is doing and I get to choose joy over comparison.
Okay, so how does this relate to anything? Well, we’re about to head into a new season for the summer. Our August to May is filled with college students, and our summer is about to be filled with weddings :] From past experience, the thing that has made me most excited about heading into a new season and a change of pace, is knowing that I did the last season well. The last two weeks have been full to the brim with spending quality time saying goodbye to students, praying for their summers, and setting them up well to be away from Radford. The last two weeks have been full of people and full of life. Knowing that we got to spend time with all of the students before they headed out doesn’t make me dwell in “would’ve, could’ve, should’ve’s,” but instead makes me excited for what is to come next!
So here’s a little recap into the other side of our lives, our ministry with Cru.
The end of a school year means we also sent off seniors! Eek! Here are two of them speaking at Cru.
This is the student leadership cookout…where Jake’s kids ran around in dinosaur costumes :]
Neville loves the students 😀
All of the kids jumped on the hammock with Jonathan!
Jude got the last hamburger…this was his victory dance.

All of our lovely seniors.
Yeah, so Tyler has been making people “nose to temple” her whenever possible…but I promised she’s doing it out of love.
The most awkward dancing.

Can I just say that David set up these chairs and this umbrella for me…he’s the sweetest.
I’m so excited to start up wedding season! But as usual…I’ll miss the students a whole lot. One more segment from the Goodbye Picnic next week… :]
