It’s summer and I feel free as a bird! Balancing one job instead of the normal bajillion that it seems like we’re normally doing is so lovely this week. I kept telling David that we were “FREE!!” and he kept saying he wasn’t quite sure what that meant. But waking up on a Monday morning and doing yoga together and working in the office together certainly sounds like “free” to me :]

This last week was all about road trips and relaxing time. We popped up to Atlantic City with the family and spent lots of time with fruity drinks by the pool and eating delicious food. It was spectacular. We spent lots of car time trying to convince my sister how good the Voice is, aka it is REALLY good. And I got lots of Gilmore Girl time in front of the computer, because it’s my new editing jamz. Sometimes it’s a Netflix binge and sometimes it’s music, but I’ve almost always got something mindless going on in the background while I’m doing long editing sessions.

Also this is a special Monday because it’s the official beginning to my work with B is for Bonnie design! That’s right friends, we’re starting work on my branding today and I’m over the moon! I wish I had a confetti storm to dance in!

Now for some summer feels:

• This week I realized my desire to be able to say I’ve been in the same building as 50 cent, but never in the same room. We stayed at a hotel up in Atlantic City and 50 just so happened to be performing in the hotel that night. David, Kelsey, and I were happy to watch a movie upstairs while hearing the madness from the pool below. I’m sure this is a HUGE surprise…but it’s not really our scene. 😉
• Speaking of which, we saw Boyhood this week and it was amazing! Amazing isn’t a strong enough word. It was impossible to look away from. They filmed this over 12 years and you see the characters grow up right before your eyes. It was so realistic and honest and vulnerable. Probably my favorite movie so far this year!
• On the other hand, Pitch Perfect 2 was a little disappointing 🙁 I’ve got to say, I’m thankful we had free movie tickets for that one!
• This is how dedicated I am to Twitter: my last five tweets are from trying to save an artist on the Voice. Previously, my last tweet was from December.
• Are there any other creatives headed to Come Together with Katelyn James and Amy and Jordan Demos? David and I snagged our seats right at noon and we’re SO excited! I’m excited for another educational opportunity and I’m even more excited to be bringing David with me :]

We kicked off our summer wedding season with Andrew and Kendahl, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! We didn’t get a chance to do an engagement session with these two, so shooting them on the wedding day was all brand new and exciting! And they rocked it out. I cannot wait to show you more of their simply southern wedding day.
