Andrew and Kendahl have the sweetest, most sincere relationship. Andrew is a true southern gentleman. Several people mentioned what a true servant he was during the reception, and it was clearly evident. He was stopping to chat with every guest, thanking every vendor. And Kendahl is his perfect counterpart. She’s sweet and spunky all at the same time. She laughs loud and loves the people in her life hard. Over the several years that I’ve known her, I can say for a fact that she’s never lit up quite like she does when she’s with Andrew. Together, they’re unbelievably fun and kind and a myriad of other lovely adjectives.

If I had to sum up the feeling of their wedding day, it would have to be with the word: finally. Although they haven’t been together too, too long, this day was clearly a long time coming. It was clear they couldn’t live their lives another day without being side by side. They just fit better together. The maid of honor, Brittany, mentioned that Kendahl came home after spending their first holiday together, shortly after starting to date, with the exclamation, “I want to marry that man!”And, finally, she got to, in front of all of her friends and family.

I’ve known Kendahl for close to 6 years now! It’s amazing. Not only are my friends getting married, but the women that I’ve had the absolute honor of pouring my life into are now getting married! It’s a surreal moment to see someone who you’ve seen grow up into the image of God transition into being a wife. And so it was on Saturday. I remember Kendahl as a sophomore in college, and to see how much she’s grown into a bold woman of God since then, it’s breathtaking.

From seeing the sweet exchange of heartfelt letters, to the way that Cayman the dog chased after Andrew and Kendahl today, to seeing the way they clung to each other on the dance floor, Andrew and Kendahl’s wedding day was perfect. And it was a privilege to be a part of.
