I love Radford summer. And wedding season! Every week promises down time and spending nights on porches or in backyards with friends and most weekends promise a ceremony centered around once in a lifetime love. It’s just wonderful. Sprinklers with children running through them and golden sunsets with cool breezes are absolute perfection. It feels like breathing came a little easier this week.
This is an especially special week because we are one day away from being officially married for THREE years. It’s gone by so slow and so fast all at the same time, and I’m so thankful for this season with my sweet husband. I’m sure I’ll get oddly sentimental about this on the blog sometime next week, but mostly right now, I’m just excited! We’re headed to Raleigh, North Carolina for two days tomorrow morning just to be for a bit. We’re going to a fancy restaurant, coffee shop adventuring, and reuniting with our wedding photographers for a quick anniversary session. We’re SO excited, especially because we procrastinated planning it all and it all fell into place.
I hope your summertimes are filled with joy and cool breezes, and of course, some lovely weddings. Now some feels:
- Working on branding with Bonnie this last week has been SO fun and also so tortuous. I’m dying to share some of the process and the logo mockups I got back today…butttttt I’m holding it all in for now :] Cannot wait to show you how much Bonnie gets me and how our vision is turning out.
- I cry during the anniversary dance at weddings every. single. time. I can’t help it and I don’t regret it! Seeing all of those married couples out on the dance floor, celebrating the longer they get to stay out there makes me well up inside. If I’m at a wedding…you can bet that if you glance at me during this event, you’ll see silent happy tears streaming down my face.
- David is so into playlists, it’s hilarious. And super beneficial for me. He scours Spotify and finds the best covers and, in true hipster fashion, compiled his finds into a playlist titled “Acoustic Car Ride.” Oh Jobin, too cool for your own good. I will say it eased the car rides to and from our out of town wedding this weekend.
- I’m one and half episodes away from finishing Gilmore Girls and it’s kind of sad :/ Here’s to that Gilmore Girls movie actually happening, am I right?!
- I think Neville Puppy gets cuter during the summer…he’s almost impossible to stop snuggling with.
More from this Virginia wedding real soon :]
