Okay this week has been a doozy. It’s one of those weeks that started out very good, turned bad, got good again, and turned bad again…followed by more good! How dramatic, right?! It’s been an up, down, and all around week and I, for one, could not be more thankful to be started fresh this Monday morning. With the windows open…but we’ll get to that in a moment.
This Tuesday was our 3rd wedding anniversary and it was lovely! We took a break from trying to eat healthy and started off our road trip with the treasured Taco Bell and we were off to Raleigh. We spent the evening with Brent & Anna, our wedding photographers, and had a lot of fun catching up and doing an anniversary session. And we followed that up with the Melting Pot. Which was honestly 60% of the reason we chose Raleigh. The Melting Pot is amazing and David had never been and we basked in the glory of the fondue. I’ll share an iPhone recap a little later this week :] We followed up the next day with shopping at Vintage Village and reading and indulging in Nutella waffles at Jubala. Raleigh’s good stuff, friends.
After spending a too late night Monopoly playing, we entered the low points. We got caught up in a couple days of being in a daze work wise. Somewhere in there my sweet sister left town for the summer too! We got hyper focused and humdrummy and by the time we were cleaning through our entire closet on Saturday we were SO thankful for friends that pulled us out of our mundane and into a fun night of dinner picnic-ing outside and card playing. And then the dreaded bad…at precisely 1AM our poor puppies were SKUNKED! And three hours later, with so much cleaning, our house was STILL full of skunk smell…much to our dismay. So Sunday was a slow day of waiting and waiting and waiting for the lovely summer breeze to carry the smell away. And thankfully, I think we’re okay now. Our house may be full of moths (from a wide open door), but I’ll take that over skunk smell any day. Woooooo, so again, very thankfully, our Sunday ended with us trying desperately to reset our sleep schedules by watching countless Youtube videos.
So all in all…that was our week and we’re glad to be starting over today. Feels time:
More from this wedding THIS week 😀
