What a week! It was a whirlwind and emotional and so, so fun! Every day of this week held something new and it is no wonder we were both exhausted by the time that Sunday came around.
We started on Monday with David’s 27th birthday which officially feels a lot older than 26. He’s in his late 20s friends. And I won’t let him forget it. Tuesday was Tuesdays Together in Roanoke, which I spoke a little bit about on the blog last week. It was a really sweet time connecting with fellow creative business owners and just being encouraged that we don’t have to go through this alone. Owning a business is tough and eating Mexican food surrounded by other women who “get it” was just what I needed! Wednesdays are our Cru days this summer. There’s about 15-20 students still in the area so Wednesday night is all about getting them together and spending some time in community and worship. This week was a great start to that and we loved having some bonfire action with the students. As much as we love when Radford is quiet, it’s easy to start missing the hustle of all of our students being around.
And Thursday was a whole new adventure! We got up early and headed to Fredericksburg, VA for The Come Together Event with Katelyn James and Amy and Jordan Demos. It was so fun to bring David along to an industry event and for him to see what it was like to be in what is usually “my world.” On top of that, Katelyn and Amy and Jordan are all fabulous speakers with SO much heart for their clients and vision to see lives changed through their businesses. And it’s really happening. It was such a helpful and inspiring evening and if you had to miss it, they’re offering video copies of the content! Also another opportunity to mingle and connect with old and new creative friends is always a plus :] Friday brought a family session and Saturday brought a WEDDING! More importantly, my friend Haley’s wedding. It was just a surreal day and I can’t wait to share the images later this week.
Needless to say, Sunday was spent napping and Netflixing Parks and Rec and eating pizza for dinner. Because after all of that crazy goodness, we needed the day off. Feels time.
More from Nathan and Haley’s wedding SO soon. Just look at those mountains 😀
