This week, we had some normalcy visit our lives and it was oh so welcome. Yes, we still hustled and bustled around town flitting from friends to work commitments to time with each other…but it was a relaxed kind of good. It always feels SO good to come back to your home after being gone for awhile. Can I get an amen? There’s nothing like getting in your own bed and snuggling on your own couch and eating food out of your own fully stocked fridge. We are glad to be back.
Now of course, we’re headed out of town for a wedding this weekend, so it wasn’t too too long. But after this weekend, we’re home for a whole month :] We love to travel around and see family and friends and visit new venues, but we also love the good old small town we call home. This week reminded us just why we love being in town. We spent some late nights with our friends, we connected with some of the students in town, and we spent a few nights staying in on the couch. Fourth of July was a long day filled with our community bbqing and of course, watching the fireworks together. And me getting too entranced by buying up all of the sparklers that are on sale. I’ve resisted the urge so far…but it’s not quite gone yet.
Some homegrown feels for you.
Last week we spent some time with my photog friend Ashley Powell and her husband Robert. We ate pizza and traded some portraits so we could get in some posing practice. It was a blast and I can’t wait to show you the rest of their images at the end of the week!
