Monday, it’s good to see ya again. Especially because my Monday started promptly at noon. <insert embarrassed face here> Yep, this crazy summer seemed to have caught up with me yesterday and halted me right in my tracks. Isn’t it funny when you’re body just knows when to give up? Saturday was our last wedding of the summer season, our last wedding for two full months! So of course, Sunday meant full on surrender. I spent most of the day on the couch binge watching Grey’s and napping. And I wouldn’t have had it any other way. It’s almost time to switch gears to focusing on college students and the rest is desperately needed!

We’ve got one last big adventure of the summer that I’ve kept under wraps for the last couple weeks…we’re going to New York City! It’s my favorite place in the world and we’re so, so thankful to be doing an engagement session up there! It’s a dream come true and having some time to explore my favorite place in the world doesn’t hurt either 😉

This week brought lots of editing catch up time and lots of time hanging out with some of our favorite people. It feels like summer is really winding down at this point, and I’m trying not to live in the would’ves and could’ves! Anyone else in that place? I’m excited for a change of pace, but it feels like I blinked and summer passed us by in an instant. Hoping that the next two weeks go by super slow :]

• First looks are my favorite. If you want to know why, just take a look at the image below. There’s nothing like a groom and bride finally locking eyes to let them know that this is really happening, it’s their wedding day!
• David got a bike this summer from his dad and today he spent a good 15 minutes walking around with his bike helmet on…like a dork.
• It’s been four years since I’ve been to NYC and I’m looking for recommendations for spots we should hit up while we’re there :] This is the longest I’ve gone since heading into the city and we want to make the most of it! So bring on your favorite NYC haunts!
• My dad arrived at our house around 9:30PM on Friday night, strolled in and starting reciting his speech for his high school reunion in October. There’s really no explaining him.

Ahhhhh more from this southern wedding later this week! It was the perfect way to end the summer.
